According to some testimonies, the Jewish population was also shot in trenches and old pits among the cliffs on the western bank of the Uzh River, not far from the railway bridge. Probably [some] non-Jews were also shot at this site. Some witnesses say most of the victims were not families, but rather individuals.

Fyokla Vigovskaya, who was born in 1908 and lived in Korosten during the war years, testified:
The third pit is located among the cliffs on the western bank of the Uzh River, about 300 meters from the railway bridge. I do not know the number of the victims, but I do know that there were many Jews among them, as well as Russians. A policeman whose name I do not know said that in the course of one day 7,000 Jews were shot and buried at the same place among the cliffs in trenches and old pits.
