Episodes 5 and 6 in the six-part documentary propaganda series Why We Fight, directed by the Hollywood cinema director Frank Capra. Films in the series were produced in cooperation with the US Army war department during 1942-1945 and were distributed among soldiers of the US Army and the American public. The films are based on American newsreels and enemy films that fell into Allied hands. They also include graphic maps and diagrams that were prepared by the war department and animation that was produced by the Walt Disney studio.
