According to the testimony of Holocaust survivor Tobias Mendel, in the course of the murder operation of March 31, 1942 in the Stanisławów Ghetto, German urban policemen shot a large number of Jews in a field on Długa Street, in the northern section of the ghetto.

…At Passover [1942], once again, some 10,000 Jews were loaded onto carriages and taken to Bełżec for annihilation…. At the same time, several thousand Jews were killed in Stanisławów itself, on Długa Street. They were shot by urban policemen and buried in an open field….
