In late September 1941, one of the murder sites of Jews from Golovanevsk who had been assembled in the Pioneer club was located about one kilometer to the northwest of Golovanevsk, in two fat-boiling pits two meters apart. The Jewish victims were thrown into the pits alive. When the pits were full, the [rest of the] people were shot to death from sub-machineguns.
