This documentary looks at pre-war Wilno (now Vilnius, Lithuania) the former home of 60,000 Jews and the once thriving centre of Yiddish culture, the birthplace of Zionism and of the socialist Jewish Bund organization. The film focuses on the systematic extermination of Wilno'ss Jewish population. Narrated by Hollywood’s Mandy Patinkin.

Holocaust Memorial Day events, 26th January 2006 in the Wales Millennium Center. Attended by Prime Minister Tony Blair. A concert was performed, poetry was read, films were screened and speeches by the grandchildren of survivors as well as rescuers were given.

The Michael Nyman Songbook - Ute Lemper

Singer Ute Lemper in her 1992 performances at the Hamburg Musikhalle of songs by composer Michael Nyman. The songs are inspired by a letter from Mozart, two texts from Rimbaud and six songs by Paul Celan (1920-1970). Including Holocaust archival footage, present-day views of concentartion camp and photos of Celan.

Book of names background music

Audio. The melody in the book of names is composed of three pieces representing the Jewish communities persecuted during the Holocaust: "Oyfn Pripetshik" – A Yiddish song by Mark symbolizing the culture of Eastern European Jewry. "Arvoles" – A Ladino song of longing, reflecting the plight of Balkan Jewry. "Ru'ach Atzuv" – A Hebrew song by Itzhak Katzenelson, a lamenter of the Holocaust. Together, these works symbolize the richness of Jewish culture that was persecuted.

Not erased erased

A short film. Boris Smolkin , an Honored Artist of Russia, reads a poem written by Alexey Tkachenko. The poem is based on the events in the ghetto in the city of Glubokoe in Belarus. All the names from the poem are taken from documentary archives. The literary hero of the poem tells about how fascists mock and kill local residents. In hus poem Tkachenko rferse to the murder of city residents by fascists. The film uses paintings by Belarusian artists on the theme of the ghetto, such as Vitaly Dudarenko, Ilya Kleiner and Yuri Крупенков. . All the artists donated their paintings for the film.

Don’t cry when I'm gone

A documentary film. The film’s title "Don’t cry when I’m gone" is taken from a popular Polish song written Wanda Sieradzka, the author of many Polish pop hits. This film is about her. She survived the Warsaw Ghetto and avoided annihilation by the Nazis. After the war, Wanda built an artistic career in Poland. The story of Wanda’s life is being told by her friends and her only son, who got back home to look for the traces of his mother’s past.
