Murder Story of Voroshilovsk Jews at the Voroshilovsk Old Cemetery (Gas Vans)

Murder Site
Voroshilovsk Old Cemetery (Gas Vans)
Russia (USSR)
The Einsatzgruppen did not succeed in capturing all Jewish local residients and Jewish refugees in the city. Some managed to hide or otherwise survive the murder operations, but the Germans continued to search for these temporary survivors.

The Germans used their headquarters to organize the murder of other Jews from the Stavropol Kray District. Gas vans that departed from Voroshilovsk were used to eliminate the last Jews in the city and the rural areas: the Germans killed 30 Jews with the gas van on November 22, 1942 and 60 Jews between the end of December 1942 and January 1943. Their bodies were thrown into a pit at the old cemetery.
