Apparently in early September (in August, according to one testimony), 1941 about 300 Jews of Fastov of all ages and both sexes were taken to the local auxiliary police station. After being abused, the victims were taken by truck to the Kaznovka neighborhood on the southwestern outskirts of Fastov, and shot at a ravine near the former military barracks. The perpetrators of this massacre were members of Sonderkommando 4a of Einsatzgruppe C and local auxiliary policemen.
