The film is the story of Heydrich's assassination and of the search for his assassinators, two Czech underground members. The film was made in the United states of America during the Nazi occupation of the Czech Republic. The film was co-scripted by two German exiles, director Fritz Lang and playwrighter Bertolt Brecht.
