Ceremony awarding Mr Rudimiru Roteru with the title “Righteous Among Nations” 22nd October 2006. Mr Ruteru was recognized as a righteous gentile by Yad Vashem on 30th November 2004. He was a journalist and a known public figure in his country, Croatia. He lived in Serbia until his death. Mr. Roteru saved his Jewish friend, Abo Koen, his wife and daughter, by hiding them in a house he owned. Later the family moved and lived under the protection of the partisans. Abo Koen was killed in battle. His wife and daughter were saved.
