This DVD contains stories of survivors, collection of Shoah Foundation in Los Angeles. Total of approximately 52,000 interviews together, in 36 languages in 56 countries were admitted. In Austria, about 180 emerged several interviews, the world's approximately 1200 additional interviews with former Austrian women. A working group of specialized historians, and video experts has thirteen of the interviews and selected for use in the classroom prepared.

Children of the Storm

This documentary centers on interviews with dozens of the 1,100 Jewish refugee orphans who came to Canada under the postwar Canadian Jewish Congress War Orphans Project. Their stories describe survival of the Holocaust and the difficult transition to establish new lives in foster homes. Historian Irving Abella relates the Canadian wartime record, including Ottawa's rejection of 5,000 Jewish refugee children, all of whom subsequently perished. These survivors reflect the endurance and determination that allowed them to contribute to their adopted country in business, law, medicine, education, art and science....

The Truce

This moving film by Italian Director Francesco Rosi (Carmen) tells the story of the journey of the great writer Primo Levi (based on his book “The Reawakening”), from his release from Auschwitz until his return to his homeland Italy. John Turturro, heart-warming in the role of Levi, reveals anew the humanity that the Nazis tried to destroy in the war. The film was runner-up for the Gold Palm Prize at Cannes Festival.

The Last Sea 1945-1948

Based on archive films, this documentary presents testimonies by anonymous survivors giving evidence on the liberation, the difficult passages through post war Europe, confrontations with the British Navy, detention at camps on Cyprus, and the final arrival in Eretz Israel. “The Last Sea” is the second episode in a series of three Holocaust documentaries produced by the “Ghettos Fighters House”. (The other two are “The 81st Blow” about the rise of anti-Semitism, and “The Face of the Revolt” about the Jewish Resistance). Winner of the Silver Eagle, International Festival of Historic Films, 1983.
