Transport XII from Lodz, Ghetto, Poland to Chelmno, Extermination Camp, Poland on 05/03/1942

The deportees assembled at 7 Szklana St., near the ghetto's central prison at 14-16 Czarnieckiego St. There they registered for the transport. They were subsequently held for two to three days in a building adjacent to the central prison; in the Marysin area; or in a school building at 25 Młynarska St. On the day of their transport, they walked to the Radegast train station. Those unable to walk were taken by cart. At the station, the deportees boarded trains, which departed each morning for Koło.

The train travelled from the Radegast Station in Łódź, via Widzew and Kutno, and reached Koło (Wartbrücken) in the afternoon. ...
