Written Testimonies
From the testimony of Marjan Poznanski, who was born in 1901 in Łódź, Poland, and stayed in Stolin during the war years:
On the eve of the holiday [Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year], all the members of the Stolin Judenrat were summoned, on the pretext of a routine inspection. And so, the 12 members of the Judenrat, with Berger at their head, came. They were all taken into the prison courtyard and shot.
