Some Jews were taken from the Chernigov city prison and shot at different times by Germans, with the help of local Ukrainian policemen, in Krivolivshchina near the village of Bobrovitsy. A total of 20,000 civilians and prisoners of war were shot at this mass murder site.

… In Krivolevshchina there is a group of graves that is located northwest of the village of Bobrovitsy, about two kilometers from it, near a ravine that extends from the field toward Bobrovitsy village. It consists of 11 death pits in two groups located close to each other.… Some of the bodies were clothed in peasant-type clothing while some were in their underwear; some bodies have neither clothes nor underwear.… There are bodies of both sexes and various ages – from 2 to 50 years old.… In the third death pit bodies were discovered at the depth of 1.5 meters, lying either in piles or side by side. They were dressed in different [types of] clothes; some of them are half-naked. In this grave, apart from men's and women's bodies, bodies of children of both sexes were discovered. Most bodies have holes in their skulls from bullets that entered near the occipital bone and exited through different parts of the face. The skulls of most of the children were broken. The commission stated that the shooting of the Soviet civilians in Krivolevshchina was carried out by Germans throughout the period of the occupation. The Soviet civilians who were about to be shot were taken by the Germans from the Chernigov city prison on trucks that were covered with dark tarpaulins. The Germans followed [the truck] in a car. On the day of the shooting the road from the prison to the shooting place was blocked by police and the population was prohibited from using it. The shootings were usually carried out on Mondays and Thursdays from 4 to 10 a. m., sometimes also from 2 to 10 p. m, and, sometimes, also on Fridays.… According to testimonies, 20,000 Soviet citizens were shot by Germans in this place.…
