According to testimonies, some of Gomel's Jews were murdered on Budyonnyi Street (present-day Barykin Street, where a metal factory is now located). Neither the date of the murder nor the number of victims is known.

Chaya (Anna) Filkin, who was born in 1924 and lived in Gomel during the war years, testified:
... I heard that they [the Jews of Gomel] had all been rounded up, that they had all been taken to Barykin Street... Back then, it lay outside the city. There, all [of them] were shot. Many Jews were shot....
