Podvysokoye
Ukraine (USSR)
The earliest reference to the presence of Jews in Podvysokoe dates to 1765. In the late 19th century, local Jews owned two grocery stores. On the eve of World War II, the town was home to ninety-six Jews, out of a total population of 4,124.

Podvysokoe was occupied by the Germans on August 7, 1941. The few Jews left in the town were killed in its vicinity.

Podvysokoe was liberated by the Red Army on March 14, 1944.
