The village of Novo Petrikovka was established in 1810-1812. Little is known about the presence of Jews in the village. Apparently, Jewish refugees from various places came to Novo Petrikovka prior to its occupation by German troops in mid-October 1941. The local Jews were shot in the vicinity of the village in early spring 1942.
Novo Petrikovka was liberated by the Red Army in mid-September 1943.
