Lipovoye
Ukraine (USSR)
On the eve of the Soviet-German War, the village of Lipovoye was home to only a few Jews. German troops occupied Lipovoye on September 15, 1941. In October that year, the Germans, with the assistance of the Ukrainian Auxiliary Police, killed and buried four Jews in the forest on the outskirts of the village. The Red Army liberated Lipovoye on September 15, 1943.
