In October 1941, an SS unit and some local collaborators entered the village of Lipovoye. They arrested four Jews, two children and their mothers. They took them to the nearby forest and murdered them. A German soldier shot the two women dead, while the SS men killed the children with the bayonets of their rifles.

The ChGK report from Lipovoye
Those (SS) men and soldiers came into the village. Following the directions of two collaborators, the traitors Ivan Andreevich Bosak and Gnat Ivanovich Pustovar, they raided an apartment where two Jewish women and two children were hiding. The children were impaled, while the women were brutally executed by a German soldier in the forest near the cemetery, not far from the bodies of the POWs.
This took place in October 1941.
