With the summer offensive of the German military at the end of June 1942, the Germans began invading the North Caucasus.
The Wehrmacht occupied Suvorovskaya on August 9, 1942.
The first murder operation took place on August 26, 1942. The Germans collected 95 Jewish children and murdered them on a collective farm. At the beginning of October 1942 German killing squads murdered 70 Jewish civilians on the outskirts of Suvorovskaya.
The Red Army liberated Suvorovskaya on January 13, 1943.
