Malin
Ukraine (USSR)
In 1939 the Jewish population of Malin amounted to 3,600 people or about 32 percent of the total population. Malin was occupied on July 22, 1941. About one hundred Jews were probably murdered in the area of the local "chair" (furniture) factory. Most of the local Jews were murdered in a large scale murder operation in early September 1941 in Shcherbin Yar. Malin was liberated by the Red Army on November 12, 1943.
