Courtyard of the Policeman Odarik
Kalanchak was occupied by German forces on September 11, 1941. In November 1941,two Jewish familiers, 8 people in number, were murdered in the village in the ourtyard of the house of one of the local auxiliary policemen.

Kalanchak was liberated by the Red Army on November 2, 1943.
