The Pioner (named after the Communist children's organization) collective farm was a Jewish kolkhoz located in the Sholom Aleichem rural council, which was part of the Kalinindorf Ethnic Jewish County. About 80 Jews were living and working on the Pioner collective farm at the time the Germans occupied the area. All these Jews were murdered on October 19, 1941 on the nearby Shevchenko state farm.
According to Soviet sources, 5 members of the Pioner collective farm, evidently Jews, were deported to Kalinindorf and murdered in the vicinity of the village.
