Einsatzstab Reichsleiter Rosenberg (ERR) was an organization that confiscated Jewish art and cultural items. On 02/03/1946, the US Army established the Offenbach Archival Depot (OAD) warehouse in order to collect and classify the books and written material confiscated by the Germans. Seen in the photo - train cars containing all of the Historica Monumenta Germaniae library robbed from Rome, and all of the library of the Institute of the History of Art in Florence.
