Photos
The two rebels are dressed in German army uniform. They are also holding weapons taken from German soldiers who were killed. Walter Kostecki, A Catholic Polish man, was a member of the Polish underground, and assisted the rescue of Jews from Warsaw ghetto in Poland. He served in the Polish navy in exile (its center was located in London), and volunteered to parachute on the land of Poland and serve as a messenger for the Polish Government in Exile. As a part of this duty, He transferred microfilms of photographs from Poland, some of which are included in this collection
