This experimental film is based on home movies, documenting the family life of Hungarian Jews from 1937 until the German occupation in 1944. This is a joint effort of the film director Péter Forgács and György Pető, an amateur photographer whose dozens of reels of film were made by Forgacs into a cinematic testimony about Hungary during the war and the German occupation.
