Historical drama following the story of Klaus Schneider whose life story parallels Hitler’s rise. He was injured in World War 1 and recovered under the care of Dr Emil Bettelheim who discovers that his charismatic patient has telepathic powers that can help people with suicidal tendencies. After the war, Schneider changes his name to Eric Jan Hanussen and begins to perform as a hypnotists. He always speaks the truth, something that catches the attention of the Nazis. Even though Hanussen predicts the rise of the Nazis to power, his own future is uncertain.
