1956, The Sea of Galilee. Rachel Stein, newcomer from Holland meets an old friend. At this point the film goes back to September 1944 to Nazi occupied Holland. Short while after her parents are shot dead by the Nazis, Rachel joins the Dutch resistance. On a personal mission to avenge her lost, she infiltrates the local Gestapo head quarters and under orders seduces high rank officer. Later she falls in love with him and finds herself in an impossible situation: being suspected by the Nazis and by the resistance as a traitor. A documentary film. Leonie Brandt was an actress. Later on, shebecame a spy for the Dutch intelligence service in Nazi Germany. After the war a number of prominent Dutchmen feared Leonie for what she knew about their actions during the occupation. The film follows the chronology of her life via scenes from old movies.
