סרט תעודי העוסק ב"חסיד אומות העולם" פול גרונינגר (1891-1972), לשעבר מפקד משטרה במחוז סיינט גול בשוויץ שסייע לאלפי פליטים יהודים. לאחר סיפוח אוסטריה לגרמניה הנאצית במרץ 38, זרם היהודים שביקשו גישה לשוויץ הלך וגדל, אך הממשלה השוויצרית סגרה בפניהם את גבולות המדינה. ב- 18.8.38, גרונינגר נדרש לא לאפשר כניסת פליטים מגרמניה. הוא הפר את הוראות ממשלתו ואיפשר את כניסת היהודים דרך עמדת הגבול שבאחריותו. ככיסוי, הוא החתים את דרכוני הפליטים בתאריכים שקדמו לאוגוסט 38 (מועד הצו). כך, מאוגוסט עד דצמבר 38, מועד השעייתו, גרונינגר איפשר את כניסתם הבלתי חוקית של כ- 3,600 איש לשוויץ. בינואר 39, בעקבות תלונות צירות גרמניה בברן, הממשלה...

A documentary. Almost 1 million people in 22 countries carried out the unprovoked murder of 11 million innocent men, women and children. 99% of those responsible were never prosecuted; most were never even questioned. Despite the extensive cinema documentary coverage of the Holocaust to date, not one has explored in any depth the almost total lack of justice, statistically, towards the vast numbers of eagerly participating perpetrators who, at war's end, simply walked away -- untouched by justice. This film addresses this glaring omission.
