Special broadcast of Israel Television: 2 parts of the documentary film "Nuremberg: the Nazis face their crimes" and a discussion led by Oren Nahari, with Dr Tom Segev, journalist and historian and Dr Daniel Reisner, former Head of the International Law Branch of the Israel Defense Forces. The film deals with the trials of 22 Nazi officers at Nuremberg, and unlike other films on the subject, it focuses within the four walls of the law court. The material presented was filmed by a military unit that was formed by the director John Ford and till now, some of the footage has not been seen. A full picture is shown of the extent of the crimes committed by the accused. At the beginning of the film, the destruction of Nuremberg (1945) is seen and afterwards the entrance of the accused according to the level of their crimes against humanity. Afterwards the film deals with the judges, prosecutors and accused. At the end of the film the accused are seen going down stairs to their cells, accompanied by guards.
