This documentary tells of the various activities of Suehnezeichen, organization founded by Lothar Kreisick in 1958 at a protestant synod. The purpose was to encourage young Germans to work in reconstruction and various social services in expiation of Nazi crimes. There is a group of young people working at a construction site in Norway. There are volunteers working in Kibbutz Urim with the handicapped. Other work in Yad Vashem and The Leo Baeck institute in documentation.
