A short documentary film. The holy books of the synagogue in Leeuwarden were hidden during the war and in 1965 they were transferred to Kfar Batya in Israel. The synagogue of Leeuwarden, the archivist August Corree transferred the books to the archives of the city of Franeker. One teacher at the local gymnasium, Hartog Beem, realized the danger, and hid the scrolls in the library of the University of Franeker.
