רעב - מחתרת רופאי גטו ורשה

סרט תיעודי. הסרט מביא את סיפורם של רופאי גטו ורשה, שכנגד כל הסיכוים, בתנאים קשים ביותר של סגר, צפיפות ומחלות קשות, הקימו מערך בריאות מרשים שתיפקד 24 שעות ביממה, וסיפק שירותים לאוכלוסיית הגטו. המערך הרפואי של הגטו כלל כ-800 רופאים ורופאות, מדענים בעלי שם ואחיות מקצועיות. במסגרת המערך שהקימו, הצליחו הרופאים היהודים ליצר שני מיזמים חסרי תקדים: פקולטה מחתרתית ללימודי רפואה, ומחקר שעסק ברעב. הפקולטה הוקמה ב-1941, בניגוד מוחלט לפקודות הנאצים. מספר פרופסורים ורופאים, בשיתוף ראש מערך הבריאות ביודנראט, ד"ר ישראל מילייקובסקי, העמידו מערך לימודים ל- 500 הסטודנטים לרפואה שעברו לחיות בגטו. הלימודים התקיימו בכל תנאי...
