This documentary uses Nazi footage that was taken on the Eastern Front to portray a more human side to one of the most barbaric armies in history. In Ost Front, videos are used of Nazis showing their fellow comrades photos of their children, running with dogs and skating on frozen rivers. The film shows that these were not monsters committing heinous atrocities, but rather humans with families, hobbies and passions who took time out of their life to take part in the greatest genocide in history.
