Murder story of Jaszuny Jews in the Lenkiszki Area

Murder Site
Lenkiszki
Poland
On September 23 or 24, 1941, SS Einsatzgruppe 3 and the Lithuanian Special Squad (Ypatingasis Būrys), which had come over from Vilnius, assembled the Jews of Jaszuny in the manor house and locked them there. On September 25, they ordered them to leave all their belongings in the house and form up in a column in front of the building. They then escorted them on foot, in groups of forty, to the village of Lenkiszki, about a mile southwest of Jaszuny, and shot them there. According to eyewitnesses, the Nazis also shot three Roma in the same place and at the same time.
