On January 18, 1943, during the retreat of the Wehrmacht, German soldiers arrested eight civilians and shot them in an anti-tank trench in the town. The victims included a Jewish mother and her two children, aged four and six.

Afterward, the German villains shot a Jewish family: a mother and her two children, aged four and six. They were completely innocent, and the Germans shot them solely because they were Jewish.
