In 1942, nine individuals were shot by the SS in a ditch in the village of Terny. These victims include two Jewish families, which had six members between them. Their bodies were left lying in the ditch for a month.

Furthermore, a SS unit shot two Jewish families – Abram Moiseevich Belovitsky, his wife Blota Belovitskaya, his daughter Sterna Abramovna Belovitskaya, his grandson Yuriy Belovitsky, Anna Vasilyevna Kozackaya, and Petr Kazatski – and three other unknown men. The bodies of the abovementioned victims lay in the ditch for a whole month.
