In July 1941, several Jewish men from Postawy were arrested and shot, apparently in a local park. Several weeks later, they were reburied at the Jewish cemetery by their relatives.

Riva Fridman, who was born in 1904 and lived in Postawy during the war, testifies:
In July of the same year (1941), the Germans arrested Chaim (?) Teilovich, Shailik Perman, his brother Rachmiel Perman, and Leiba Ionovich Raichel. The relatives of these persons later found their bodies in a park near the town, five weeks after their arrest.… They were all reburied at the Jewish cemetery by their relatives.
