According to the report of the ChGK, a number of “Soviet citizens”, both Jews and non-Jews, were shot on an unknown date by unknown perpetrators in the courtyard of the Sakhnovshchina synagogue, which had been closed down by the Soviet authorities back in the 1930s.

…The exhumation of the 15-meter long and 1.5-meter wide shelter in the courtyard of the former synagogue revealed a large number of [bodies] of Soviet citizens, both male and female. The locals present during the exhumation have identified the following [victims] based on their clothes and shoes: Ivan Vinichenko (born 1887), who worked at the mill in the town of Sakhnovshchina; Leizerovich, the wife of a doctor from the town of Sakhnovshchina; Leizerovich, an underage girl, the daughter of Dr. Leizerovich….
