According to Soviet reports, about a dozen Jews who had stayed in Chuguyev under the German occupation were shot in January-February 1942 at the cemetery of the settlement of Osinovka southeast of the town (it has since been incorporated into Chuguyev) by Germans and local auxiliary policemen.
