In July 1941, a group of Jewish men were taken in trucks to the Rowiec Ravine, 2 kilometers from Kamieniec Litewski, on the left side of the road leading to Brześć nad Bugiem, across from the village of Muryny Wielkie, and shot there. Interview by Georgiy Musevich in 1997
As early as July 1941, the Germans carried out a raid against the Jewish men of Kamieniec [Litewski], and they shot over 100 Jewish men at the Rovets Ravine, which lies across from [the village of] Bolshiye Muriny [Muryny Wielkie], 2 kilometers from the town, on the left side of the road to Kamieniec-Brest [Brześć nad Bugiem]. Initially, the mass grave was surrounded with birch trees. Later, the birch trees were removed, and the soil of the area was plowed. Now, there is only a single tree growing there.
