In November 1942, during the liquidation of the Zaśkiewicze Ghetto, the Germans (most probably the Wilejka SD, with the assistance of the local collaborationist police) killed 69 disabled and elderly Jews. The murder operation took place 150 meters from the village (possibly near the railroad – i.e., southwest of Zaśkiewicze). The rest of the Jews were deported to another ghetto, probably in Oszmiana and/or Smorgonie, where they shared the fate of the local inmates.
