Anti-Tank Trench in Lipcani
Romania
According to the testimony of a non-Jewish eyewitness, in July 1941 a group of 200 Jews – men, women and children – were executed by Romanian soldiers in an anti-tank trench located on the town's outskirts, in close proximity to the house of a local named Petro, nicknamed "Satana". After the shooting, the victims were buried at the same site.
