One night in December 1942, at about 11 PM, a truck drove into the village of Zolskaya. The Germans and local policemen forced 22 evacuees into the vehicle and drove them to a site in the vicinity of the village, where they were shot dead.

In addition to that, upon the orders of the commanding Gestapo [officer] T. I. Bert, the following citizens were loaded onto a vehicle during the night and driven to an unknown destination. 1. Sirota, Anna Gedalyevna, born 1902. 6. Shneyder Mira Gedalyevna, born 1938. 7. Shneyder-Cherkasskaya Evgeniya, born 1906. 8. Shneyder, Mira, born 1930. 9. Shneyder, Ida, born 1931. 10. Shneyder, Vladimir, born 1940. 11. Suris, Sara Georgievna, 26 years old. 12. Suris, Polya, 7 years old. 13. Suris, Raya, 4 years old. 14. Knaper, Tsina Georgyevna, 40 years old. 15. Knaper, Grisha, 6 years old. 16. Knaper, Fima, 4 years old. 17. Tuman, Tsuko, 45 years old. 18. Tuman, (his wife) 40 years old. 19. Tuman, Lev (their son), 17 years old. 20. Kats, 40 years old. 21. Kats, (his wife), 40 years old. 22. Kudayev, 40 years old. We have no information about their subsequent fate.
