On September 25, the Germans and the local police force took 25 civilians, including 23 Jews, to another pit next to the one in which the gassed victims were buried. This, too, was an anti-tank trench located three kilometers from the town. The victims – men, women, and children – had to enter the pit.
The Germans and the local policemen then proceeded to murder the victims with stones and blunt weapons. Afterward, the pit was covered with soil.
