From the Chronological Reports about the German occupation in Tarashcha County:
…In early September 1941 Gestapo men arrived in Tarashcha… Around September 8-10, 1941 policemen started to drive the Jewish population to the [auxiliary police] administration building (on Krasnoarmeyskaya Street). There were men, women, youngsters, and children. On the evening of the same day all of them were shot in a ravine near the old Jewish cemetery. The shooting was carried out by Gestapo men, who had been quartered in a school building. After the brutal massacre of the defenseless, innocent population, they [the executioners] drank and caroused the whole night (according to a maintenance worker at the school…). The next day policemen collected the property left behind by their victims.
