After their arrival in the village of Stepnoye, Stepnovsky County in the Ordzhonikidze Kray District, the German monsters started to systematically murder the Jewish population of the village of Stepnoye. [They] beat and shot the innocent women, children and old people before the eyes of the local residents and [they] buried them [the victims] and those only half dead in a pit that had been prepared. In this way 250 Jews were murdered in September 1942.
