On September 2, 1942 the Germans and local policemen arrested 61 Jews, who were taken to the yard of the German headquarters, where a pit had been prepared. The local policemen threw the small children alive into the pit before their parents’ eyes. Afterward, the adults were shot to death, with their bodies falling into the pit.

...On September 2, 1942 the German authorities selected and collected the evacuated Jews [i.e., refugees from the west, who lived in the village; including the children, they numbered 61 people. They were taken to the building [headquarters] of the authorities and were shot to death on the same day by the German monsters. The children were had a strong poison ointment put on their lips [but before they had time to die] they were thrown alive into the pit before their parents' eyes....
