After the occupation of Blagodarnoye, in October 1942 the Germans ordered the arrest of the Jews there. On a undetermined date German and local police forces arrested 187 Jews, whom they took to the central train station in Blagodarnoye. The victims had to hand over their clothes and valuables to the guards from the local police forces.
According to several sources the Jews were taken southwest of town to a stone quarry, where local policemen shot them to death.
