The last Jews of Żabinka, numbering about 100, were murdered on October 21, 1942 in the area called Muchnia Jama, apparently located near the local cemetery. The victims, mainly women and children, were shot with sub-machineguns by members of Police Battalion 310.

Ivan Glebik, resident of Żabinka, recollected:
I was then working as a railroad man. One could hear from the direction of the Muchnia Jama sub-machinegun fire, the crying of women and children, and the sound of dogs barking. We knew that Jews were being shot but we were afraid even to look in that direction. The Germans who were at the station climbed onto the roof of the warehouse there and observed the murder.

Nadezhda Kazel, resident of Żabinka, recollected:
At the place where the town cemetery is now located there used to be a hill where birch trees grew. One morning both old and young Jews from the ghetto were taken there and some of them were forced to dig a pit. Then all of them were shot to death.
