According to one testimony, Jewish children were either shot or buried alive on October 8 (or in early November), 1941 at the brick factory on the southwestern outskirts of Uman.

… On November 6-8, 1941 the murder operations of Germans and Ukrainians against Jewish residents…
About 18 thousand [sic!] Jews -- men, women, and children -- were annihilated. Simultaneously with these operations, about 3,000 Jewish children [sic] were buried alive in two large pits dug by Ukrainians in the large area of the brick factory on the city's outskirts….
